What is Bhadra?

It is very important to consider Bhadra in any auspicious work, no auspicious work is done during this period. Bhadra is the daughter of Lord Surya and sister of Shani. Like Shani, Bhadra is bitter by nature. Therefore, Brahma Ji has given Bhadra a place in Vishti Karan, an important part of the calendar i.e. Panchang, therefore Bhadra is prohibited for auspicious works like travel, marriage, housewarming, marriage, worship. But Bhadra is very useful for some Muhurta. Like political elections, court work, Tantra Vidya becomes strong.

Raksha Bandhan — meaning “safety” and “bond” in literal translation – is celebrated to honour the special relationship between siblings. Notably, this festival is celebrated on the day of the full moon, or Purnima, in the Hindu month of Shravan.

On this occasion, a sister applies tilak to the brother’s forehead and then ties the rakhi around his wrist for his health and prosperity. Then the brother thanks her by giving her something in exchange.
